COLOR - BRED

Lipochrome;  Melanin;  and Melanin - New Color

Each Form Of Color - Bred Canary Must Have Specific Conformation; Color/Markings and Most Must Be Color Fed to show the deep red color.

EXAMPLE: If a Red Factor Canary is purchased red, but you do not color feed it,

after it molts it will be a light orange/yellow color where it was once red.

These are just a few of the many

Color-Bred Canaries. There are so many colors it's hard to keep up especially the constant adding of new mutations to the Melanin - New Color. Only the experienced breeder/exhibitor can tell the difference of some breeds. Even to some, this is extremely hard and sometimes confusing to do.
